Friends and Supporters,
Thank you to everyone who has helped to support our projects and initiatives around the world. Over the course of the past year we have helped to spread the opportunity of education and a better future to a very dicey part of the world.
The last year saw our focus turn to the fledgling democracy of East Timor. Located in the Indonesian Archipelago, East Timor is half of an island comprising an area roughly the size of Connecticut. Though comparatively small – with a population of roughly one million people – East Timor is nevertheless a significant, and at times formidable, place to work.

Assembling an international team comprised of Americans, Nepalis, Australians, New Zealanders, Philipinos, and more…Edge-ucate (in partnership with the Timorese organization Ba Futuru) was able to open and administer a vibrant youth center in the heart of a city at conflict.
Once again we are proud to have done so with only a minimum of administrative costs and still without opening an office in the US! Though there remains much to be done in this young country, we are proud to have been invited to be a part of its development.
Over the course of the next year our attention will continue to be focused on East Timor with continued support of projects in Nepal. While the cause of international education still continues to be relegated to the back burner of an increasingly volatile international agenda, our focus remains undeterred.
All of our supporters, volunteers, and staff should all be very proud of what you have contributed to building. Thank you so much to everyone!
Sincerely,
Justin Kaliszewski
